Welcome to my website! Here are two recordings of foundational hymns for the Christian community around the world.  This is a collection of classic hymn stylings that can be learned and sung anywhere.   Parents and Christian educators can use these recordings to teach their children the words of these timeless, Biblically-based songs and hymns and spiritual songs. New believers can learn the lovely melodies and words to hide in their hearts as they begin their journey with the Lord.  Mature believers can meditate and worship their Savior as they listen and sing along with the music they already love and appreciate. The gospel of salvation is clearly presented in these albums. Valerie Ann Knies has spent her lifetime singing hymns. She has sung in churches in almost every state in the United States and over 30 countries. During her many years of Christian walk, Valerie has developed a love for the old hymns of the faith. Valerie has recorded two hymn collections of 32 hymns each. These albums, My Master and My Friend and My Blessed Redeemer include many of her favorite hymns. She has worked together with the talented and brilliant pianist and arranger, Heather Roberts-Ross, and several instrumentalists, to record these fresh and beautiful hymn stylings. Her desire is to get this music into homes and hearts as listeners sing along. People of all ages will enjoy this inspiring and spiritual music, which has become a favorite for many families.

Valerie, who has been a soloist since her teenage years, continues to sing often in many stateside churches and on the mission field.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Master’s Degree in English Bible.  She majored in classical and sacred saxophone and plays several wind instruments.   She has taught elementary band and choir.  Valerie was the church music director in Pécs, Hungary until she recently gave her responsibilities over to a Hungarian church member.  She and her husband, Jim, and their three children have served as missionary church planters in Southeast Asia and have been in Hungary for 15 years.  Valerie serves in the church in Hungary as a church pianist/organist and assistant music director.  She is presently mentoring several Hungarian musicians as they prepare for future ministries in music.  My Master and My Friend and My Blessed Redeemer will be a welcome addition to your music library.
